I found this picture, while flipping through an old (now defunct) Blueprint magazine. I love it. It sums up our bedroom. Dark wood, cozy blue and pops of cheery yellow. I only wish i had those same blankets and pillows featured in the photo.

i updated lamps in our bedroom. they are just cheap shades from Ikea, and i felt they needed a little punch. I bought this paint in the mismatch section at home depot almost two years ago for only $5. Sometimes you can find some really great colors there! (photos are pretty bad cuz i shot them with my phone)


At first i tried measuring and taping off the area i wanted to paint, but because the shades taper, i decided it was best just to measure and make small pencil nicks all the way around and pain to it.
