Waaaah Waaaaah (as in, the noise you make when something fails, the buzzer goes off and you lose)


I was so excited when i heard that Urban Outfitters was going to release a line of Alexander Girard home items. I couldn’t wait. I had heard they would be released in early July, but I decided to check the site and see if they were available. I know how this limited edition designer stuff sells like hot cakes when distributed at decent prices (i.e Orla Kiely at Target)
Unfortunately, it all kinda sucked. I’m not gonna jump on the bandwagon and say it was all amazing “you should all get over there and check it out”, “get it while its hot” just cuz its Girard. But personally, i dont think any of the things they released are all that cool aside from the LOVE pillow. I mean there are so many awesome designs to choose from in his work and the stuff Urban released was just “waaaah waaaah”. Anyway, just wanted to rant and rave a bit about how disappointing it was.

We are engaged!

Hello world, i am happy to announce that john and i are now engaged. While we were on vacation in NY, John popped the question on a walk in Central Park. I am soooo happy and excited. We are so grateful for each others love and the love of our families.

We are currently on vacation in New York and having a blast! I am sometimes terrible at photographing the events of our trips because i get so lost in the moment, but hopefully i will have some things to share when we get home. One thing i am really loving is the fashion! I know that NY is super fashionable, even without ever having been to New York City, but it really is amazing. Everyone looks so effortlessly hip. Even things that are totally ridiculous and over the top, somehow dont seem out of place. Everyday on the street is like a stroll through the pages of The Sartorialist.

Just walking out the front door you are inspired. We’ve done a ridiculous amount of shopping, my personal shopping overload happened at the Fred Perry US Flagship store here. Its the only store in the US! John is lucky enough to be able to find stuff in SF at boutiques here and there, but i rarely find any girls stuff. So i was so excited to get my hands on some things!

Yeah for New York!
