SHUT-UP

i die.
fun little video
Here is a fun little video that we did over new years weekend. I think i mentioned that we took my parents to Carpinteria for the first time. This video features a lot of footage shot on the new digital harinezumi, which I LOVE and it also features the worlds craziest sunset!
song by William Elliot Whitmore
Cutie
ha, John may kill me for this later, but i was looking through some pictures today and found these two shots from a few years ago. We were testing a lens and just being silly. He’s adorable.

Tegan does duet with Against Me
watch this video.
enjoy this duet.
Tegan is beyond adorable.
Against Me, I’m a fan.
Together they feel just right.
Thanks John, for finding and sharing.
Two things i love
Paul Rand and Ballet.

Fake tattoos
I love this image. The tattoos are a terrible hodge-podge of styles but the image is striking non the less. Very well styled.

Also, how cute is this?! Pokeman and Spiderman body suits. ha

Little Mister
Ha! this kid is killin me. How do you get a four year old to put up with a blazer
and a scarf? That much, I don’t know, but he sure is cute. Looks like he’s ready for
The Sartorialist. Lady Killer.

Current Obsession: Hedi Slimane (part two)
As promised here are the other half of my favorites of Slimane’s photos. So do like me and throw on some Babyshambles and enjoy.

strangely enough, this is our friend Matt's back. He's not sure who Hedi Slimane is but says a few people have asked to photograph his tattoo...
Current Obsession: Hedi Slimane (part one)
I am currently WAY obsessed with photographer Hedi Slimane . His photography work alone is breathtaking. But I seriously don’t know if there is anything this man can’t do! He started his career as a fashion designer working for Louis Vuitton then YSL and Christian Dior, turning down work with Gucci and Prada. He eventually decided to leave Dior, and in an attempt to try to get him to stay they offered to finance his own line, to which he declined because he did not want to lose his creative freedom, sell his name, and lose the management of his own brand. Basically he blazes his own trail and does whatever he wants. ha. His background includes: furniture design, fragrance, store design, designing album covers for Pheonix and Daft Punk, editing, oh and he just happens to have mastered photography on the side. (coincidentally Slimane also does not drink, smoke or do drugs.)
In a college photography class I once had an instructor tell me that “for each roll of film shot, you might be lucky enough to get one good shot”. This apparently doesn’t apply to Slimane because it seems that everything he touches turns to magic. His website is full of thousands of images and each one is breathtaking. For your viewing pleasure I have narrowed that down to about 32 breathtaking images (which I will share in a two part post).
