i love photobooths!

YAY! We are so very excited, we just reserved a photobooth for the wedding. Not those new digital weird ones, but the real deal, black and white photobooth! This is one pricey item that i knew we had to have. I love photobooths, and sadly, the good, real deal ones, get harder and harder to find as the years go by. John and i always take a photo strip when we see one. There used to be one in Santa Barbara, and we would take a strip every time we went to Carpinteria, but, like many others, it disappeared a couple years ago. So excited!!!!
Here are a few of us over the years.

just babies! i was 19 here.

yes, thats me. i was blonde for a bit.

the unibomber’s cabin

The Unibomer came up in dinner conversation with friends tonight and it reminded me of this amazingly strange image i had saved by photographer Richard Barnes of the Unibomer’s cabin. Basically when investigating the Unibomber, they took his whole cabin in for evidence, and now it sits in a warehouse in Sacramento. It’s a pretty chilling and bizarre image.

Looks I love

I’ve been keeping a folder of “looks i love”, and i decided i should start sharing them. Some of them are wintery and it would be a shame not to share them, so i better do it soon before you all get spring fever! So lets start with a cold weather look i love.

this is a perfect cold weather look. To be honest, as a California girl, there is no way i could ever wear leggings in the snow and not freeze to death, but for SF its perfect. Winter often times makes me feel scrunchy and kinda lazy, i just want to be cozy, but i dont want to look like a slob…solution: leggings, flannel shirt, boyfriend cardigan and squishy scarf ( i love how obnoxiously huge hers is).
