Well, the bags are packed and work let out early, we are hittin’ the road, we’re outta here, see you suckers on the flip side!
We’ll be heading to Carpinteria this long weekend for a little wedding work, and some much needed sun, beach and relaxing.
I can’t wait! See you all when we return, hope you all have a lovely weekend and I hope it’s sunny wherever you are!

Dean Chalkley: The New Faces
Loving these images by photographer Dean Chalkley from a March show called The New Faces exhibiting in London.

excerpt from Creative Review:
The New Faces is a collection of images Chalkley took late last year of a group of young Mods who he first encountered at his monthly DJ night, Shake!, at The Boogaloo pub in Highgate. Intrigued by their sharp dressing and enviable dancing skills, Chalkley suggested he immortalise their look and attitude on celluloid and invited them to come to a studio shoot. “These guys are the antithesis of the all too common don’t-give-a-fuck attitude of some young adults,” explains Chalkley. “They’re bright young folk who take a real pride in how they present themselves and they’re really into their music – mainly late 50s and early 60s rhythm and blues. They’re actually from varied backgrounds and different parts of the country – but their shared passion for music, dancing and looking sharp brings them together. And you should see them dance –they look good and they’ve got the moves!”

Look I Love
So good. Feminine, rock n roll, a little bit sexy and comfy. Again with the leather jacket…

A weekend of food
Somehow or another, this is the first time I have been on the computer all weekend and it’s 10 o’clock on sunday. Surprising. I thought I would share some pictures of some of the lovely food we made this weekend. Both days this weekend, we woke up early went for a run then stopped off at the store and got stuff to make for breakfast. Saturdays breakfast was delicious. John made spinach/mushroom/jack omlettes (mostly all egg white, one yolk) and thin sliced red potatoes with a little garlic and I contributed a fruit salad, it was delicious, we took a few pictures to share. I’m marrying a breakfast master.
And tonight for dinner we had another yummy concoction. John made homemade steak fries with a savory spiced rub and a curry ketchup. I made spicy southwest tofu burgers topped with a new cheese we found at Trader Joe’s (its a jack blue cheese blend, perfect for burgers!) and side salad.
Is it making you hungry?!
Look i love
This weather is not really inspiring looks I love right now. I’m ready for more spring, scratch that, SUMMER! But i guess this look could go either way. I love love this, I think the extra love is for her hair. And seriously, what is the ratio of “looks i love” that do not include a leather jacket?!
