John and I will be celebrating our bachelor/bachelorette parties this weekend. He’s headed to Reno to soak up some sun, gamble, paintball, you know man stuff… Myself and few close girlfriends will be heading to Santa Cruz, where we have rented a house, doesnt look like there will be much sun, but there are tidepools, rickety old roller coasters, hot tubbing and my favorite ladies. Should be a lot of fun!
saw this picture on DesignSponge this morning and thought it was cute. like how the paper decor and buntings really sets a backdrop and a sense of place. fun. Have a fun weekend everyone! See you in a few days!
Sorry for the slow posts lately. Our wedding date is getting crazy close. Which means the time in which i must complete my ever growing to-do list is shrinking. I honestly feel guilty about relaxing lately…which i know is ridiculous, and yes, i still find time to relax. But as you can imagine, blogging has not been my priority. I cant believe how close we are getting. When i think in terms of to-do’s, its stressful. But when i look at amazing weddings like Surya’s and Nicks, its so exciting. To look at photos of other peoples weddings and think about “our first look” and “our first song” and etc i just get all gooshy. I have truly found the man for me and i am sooo excited for our wedding. Nine and a half years later, we finally tie the knot. Its been a long time coming and we both knew this day would come and we are so excited that its almost here!
Surya is friends with my best friend Izzy, I have only met her once or twice myself, but Isa shared the photos with me and I loved them so much I had to share them with you guys! How amazing is the “True Love is a big deal”?! No idea what its made out of, but I want it!
TOTALLY TOTALLY OBSSESED WITH THIS

PS amazing update. I found out the origins of the “True Love is a big deal” sign. Apparently, Surya sister is an amazing singer and she sang her song “Love is a big Deal” for their first dance. I really wish i could embed the song, but i haven’t purchased it YET. You should definitely go to the photographers site, where you can hear the whole song and also check out some other amazing photos!

Here a few shots, by different photographers that i am really liking
A few weeks ago our close friends Ross and Jessica got married. Although we were in the wedding, we still really wanted to make them some sort of keepsake. So even though we didn’t have a lot of time to capture footage, we managed to pull something together, and to our delight, the couple is thrilled with the results! Jess and Ross, we love you to death!
Jessica and Ross got married in Piedmont Oakland California on July 31st 2010. We used our mock super 8mm camera and the song which they danced their first dance to.

My parents. too cute. I think they are like 21 here.
Going through some old photos tonight i came across these two of my grandmother on the beach in hawaii, they have always stood out in my memory, and i loved finding them again. Wasn’t she a babe? Love the colors, love the suits.
I like these wrappings. Its like a christmas version of my wedding. We all know i love a doily.
