Today marks 10 days till the wedding. 10 days may seem like a weird marker, but it means that i was finally able to check the 10 day forecast for Carpinteria. The prediction- 67 degrees, clear and sunny! Such a relief, i hope it stays that way. The weather has been sooo unpredictable this year.
We are gathering things up and making all kinds of last minute errand runs and phone calls and sending emails etc. and getting ready to hit the road. Since we are doing everything ourselves, and since the backyard has never been a wedding venue before, we have a lot of work to do.
Johns been working like a dog lately (working weekends, working weekdays till midnight). I know he’s relieved that the work week is almost over and ready to finally be able to focus on the wedding. I can imagine that it will sort of have snuck up on him since his mind has been elsewhere lately.
I feel pretty good about things and have remained pretty stress free. The biggest thing is not forgetting anything. Its a lot to wrap your head around. We have to pack for
A. the wedding itself.
B. clothes for the week of pre-wedding set up and rehearsals and yada yada
C. for the honeymoon!
Not to mention that the wedding location is about 6-7 hours from SF. Im getting tired, just thinking about it. Or maybe I’m just old and its nearly 11 and i have been a busy bird lately.
Anyway, as you can imagine, posts will likely tapper off soon. Ill see if i cant set up some posts to run while i am gone. Its not like i am a legit blogger who has “guests posts” or anything. ha. so you may have to bear with me if posts are few and far between. Ill be tying the knot and layin up on the beach in the Dominican Republic! I cant wait to share pictures with you all!
PS today also marked my last ballet class for a moth of wedding hiatus. kinda sad, but hey i think its a pretty good trade! ha.
