Quick catch up
Whew. Well the last week or so has been crazy. As you can imagine we have been quite busy. Mostly consumed with packing and cleaning and moving prep, which also includes eating all our sf favs, visiting all our friends, finishing up some projects and otherwise being exhausted. We’ve already disconnected all the computer equipment because we are loading up the truck tomorrow. tomorrow!!!! Crazy, right? So I thought maybe I could hop on the iPad and try to catch you up to speed with our last week or so, via photos.
There’s been a lot of this

I found this awesome mirror on the street in SF

Here’s a few looks you missed

Had to get a new pair of Toms after they turned peep toe

Shot a promo piece for the amazing team at Branch Out Flowers

We gotta a fluffy new mattress

Then of course, more of this

And this

Had to try Smitten Ice Cream before we left town, it was delicious

My street find mirror got a face lift before we packed it up. Matte black.

Exposed closets
Closet space in our new cottage is extremely limited. And even though i have successfully gotten rid of HALF my closet (thank you, thank you) its still gonna be a magic trick to make things work. I think some exposed closeting is a necessity.
I was a bit worried this might be a bit of an eye sore. But I’ve found some examples of people doing it right.

I think the trick will be not cramming it to capacity, and matching hangers.
Also, John wears the same pair of Levi’s everyday. So i think we might install a few hooks in the bedroom for frequently used items. Kind of like this.

We purchased this nice clean simple white one from IKEA

it doesn’t seem like the most sturdy thing ever, but hey, maybe that will ensure that we don’t load it up past capacity.
Look I Love
Flowy top and lace skirt. very pretty. i must admit i hated her shoes so much that i had to chop them out of the shot. hehe

Real Talk with Adele

i love this.
awww. thanks guys!
My co-workers are so sweet. Two of them put their wallets together and got me a going away present. So un-necessary, but so, so sweet.
A few Kate Spade idiom bracelets with messages to inspire me on my new adventure of moving to LA.
“Take the plunge”

“on cloud nine”

and this last one, just because i love stripes

I seriously think this was the sweetest idea, and i will be sure to think of them every time i wear them, and i will be inspired about the exciting new turns my life is taking.
Today started the single digit countdown for days left at work. (9)
It’s pretty crazy to see it on the calendar. Through ups and downs, i really love that Office. I did a lot of growing up there, as a designer and as person, and shared a large chunk of my life with them. It’s a small team and it feels like a family. It is going to be so weird to leave, and i cant believe how quickly its approaching.
That being said, i really am excited about our move to LA and i have a really good feeling about it. I’m looking forward to it and I’m optimistic about the change that will come from “taking the plunge.”
