As is the theme with many of my recent posts lately, this one is about more wedding stuff. For those of you that have no interest in “wedding stuff” or have had enough of it, i apologize, but as of late, it is all consuming. John’s aunts threw me a bridal shower today and it was really really sweet. We had a pink tea party and everything was adorable. The love and generosity was overwhelming. It was so nice to introduce my mama to the extended family of ladies and also my bridesmaids and a few girlfriends. Thanks to all the aunties, mamas, cousins, and girlfriends who made the day special.

Also wedding related: Saturday I had my make-up done at Bare Essentials in trial for the wedding. I wear most of their products already, but i don’t want to end up looking the same as I always do when I get made up, so I thought I would have someone else give it a go and get some tips from a professional. Going into it I was a bit nervous because I didn’t like the makeup or style of my stylist, but she did a great job (literally, she did her job well, I bought all kinds of stuff). I am going for a timeless Audrey Hepburn look and I feel that she taught me how to get that look and how to make it last throughout the day. One thing missing though is some falsies, I will have to swing by MAC for those. I have never used them but it should be fun and add some drama!

Since I was all made up with nowhere to go Saturday, I decided it would be a good time to tackle making my veil, so I could see the look completed. It was so easy and simple! Yay!
