So..I finally activated my Pinterest account. I’ve been frequenting Pinterest for ages, anytime i saw something i liked i just transferred it to my ffffound account. I didn’t like the idea that i had to use my Twitter or Facebook account in order to activate a Pinterest account. It just seemed….invasive to me. I contacted them about it and unfortunately its the only option to become a member. For the longest time i just didn’t sign up cuz that weirded me out…then i thought about how many people are on Pinterest and i decided, whats the big deal and i activated my account. What I really love about Pinterest, opposed to fffound is that you can categorize things into as many buckets as you want. I cant tell you how many times i have thought “oh yeah, where’s that one image…” and then spent way too much time trying to search through hundreds of pages of random images in a hunt to find it on my ffffound account, only to come up empty handed. So I’ve started transfering many of my ffffound images over into categorical buckets boards on Pinterest. I’ve still got a long way to go but in the last few days I’ve already pinned over 850 items.

I’ve got tons of different boards and i think i have a pretty good selection of stuff, if i dont say so myself, so check it out and request an invite and start pinning yourself! I will say as much as i love the functionality of Pinterest, i its often times really…..girly. So if there are any boys out there i would urge you to start an account and help change that, or more likely reading this blog, more girls like me with a tomboy side. Pinterest could use your voice. Girly is okay too…
