Woooo! Forgive me if I rub it in but the countdown to Babymoon is in full effect! Friday you will find us on the beach in Mexico and we can’t wait!!
I’m ready to spend 80% of our day on the beach and consume as much delicious food and drink (una limonada por favor) as possible.
In other, less exciting news, here is today’s outfit post. Here’s hoping that when we return I am noticeably more tan:
Pregnancy Status: 26 Weeks 4 Days
Orange Oversized Tee: Old Navy (current promotion $10 and given how much I love this and my green one, I may have to pick up a few other colors) Striped Pencil Skirt: Old Navy (this one was on sale at the end of the fall season for about $12 I believe) non-maternity. This is another long pencil which is great because if I wanted to tuck my top I could pull the skirt up to the top of my rib cage. However, today because I am un-tucked I just rolled the top down a below my belly as it was more comfy that way. Coral Cut-Out Wedges: Target (I picked these up last season on super sale for $14) Wool Cardigan: Madewell (secret bonus not shown in these photos, this sweater has tone on tone elbow patches) Watch: Nixon (The Kensington) Necklace: I found this thing on sale at Payless Shoes for $3 Another fun detail not really clear in these photos: that little gold pin on my cardi is a vintage signet pin with the letter J (Jenkins) that my friend Tracy picked up for me at the flea market!
I think I’m starting to get swollen pregnant lady feet….
Not cool baby, not cool.
The man who I have spent nearly the last 12 years with.
Almost every day since I was 19.
Thanks for being my best friend.
For always believing in me.
For pushing me to be my best.
For always making me laugh. Day in and day out.
For being spontaneous and full of surprises, even after 12 years.
For needing me, as much as I need you.
For cooking me dinners after a long day at work.
For somehow becoming cooler and cooler as the years pass.
For trusting me.
And encouraging me.
For making me fall in love with you all over again, almost every day.
I can hardly believe that soon our baby will be here. OUR baby.
You are everything a woman could ask for in a husband and I can only imagine the kind of father you will be.
Making me love you all the more.
And because I couldn’t help but take a trip down memory lane….here are a few old pictures of us when we were just babies. Long before were were about to have a baby of our own.
Guys, the re-vamped blog has a new feature. Now you can show me some love without having to leave a comment. See that little heart in the bottom right hand footer of each post? Go ahead click on it. You know you want to…
This is such a cool idea and a great way to make gift giving easy for those in need. We tend to spend so much money on the people we love for the holidays, most of it is totally frivolous stuff they don’t really need. Why not spend a little less on those you love and make a difference for a stranger?
Something my old office always did at the holidays was “adopt” several families in need. We would be provided with a short bio about the family, their history, their situation and their holiday wish list. Often the wishlist included necessities like shoes or a new winter coat, which always broke my heart. They also had a place to fill in a big ticket item that they can only dream of getting (like an xbox) and it was a really amazing feeling when we could help make those dreams come true.
If you have it in you, i strongly urge you to consider helping to make a child’s holiday better. I always loved going to places like TJMaxx. Ross and Marshall’s for this where you can get more for your money. But if you dont know
where to donate or don’t have a lot to give, head on over to the ebay “give a toystore” site and donate between $2- $25.
Whew. Well the last week or so has been crazy. As you can imagine we have been quite busy. Mostly consumed with packing and cleaning and moving prep, which also includes eating all our sf favs, visiting all our friends, finishing up some projects and otherwise being exhausted. We’ve already disconnected all the computer equipment because we are loading up the truck tomorrow. tomorrow!!!! Crazy, right? So I thought maybe I could hop on the iPad and try to catch you up to speed with our last week or so, via photos.
There’s been a lot of this
I found this awesome mirror on the street in SF
Here’s a few looks you missed
Had to get a new pair of Toms after they turned peep toe

Then of course, more of this
Had to try Smitten Ice Cream before we left town, it was delicious

Marcy made amazing sweet treats
There has been talk that it MIGHT snow at sea level here in the Bay Area late Friday night/ early Saturday morning and that might mean San Francisco could see some flakes. It hasn’t snowed in SF since 1976. A few years back we had some pretty weird weather and we got some pretty heavy hail that accumulated on door steps and such that it kind of looked like snow and us silly San Franciscans got pretty worked up even over that. I think most of us are pretty excited about the idea. But something tells me that now that they have us all worked up and we are all talking about it….it probably won’t happen. But its pretty crazy to think about..and it would be cool from a historical stand point. I poked around for some pictures from the past, examples of rare occasions it has snowed here in SF and thought they would be fun to share.
